Investors Network Community is led by Katy Fleming, Jim Edenfield and its valuable Advisory Team members. The leadership develops and revises the group’s strategic plan each year based on member input, plans and leads meetings, develops social marketing tools and responds to members’ needs. Additionally, member volunteers take on various roles based on their areas of interest to support INC’s strategic plan.
Members are encouraged to become involved!
Katy has owned rentals since the mid-90’s, but officially began her real estate investment business Ideal Home Solutions in 2008. Her early focus was on Colorado wholesales and flips. She currently focuses on partnering in her native Columbus, OH market on holds, wholesales and turn-key rentals.
Katy brings a facilitated networking approach (a “Mastermind” model) to INC, based on her background in education, experience in community mobilization, and adult brain-based learning. She holds a Masters degree in Medical Sociology and a Bachelors of Science in Education. Prior to her investment career, Katy served as consultant to the Colorado Department of Education, Health Education Curriculum Coordinator for Boulder Valley School District, Boulder County AIDS Project’s Education Director, University of Colorado’s Sexual Health Program Coordinator, and Medical Sociology Instructor at C.U.
For over seven years, Jim has been a Real Estate Investor in the Denver Metro area. He has worked with partners to find projects, do marketing, research and negotiations. With partners, Jim is an owner of three single family homes as well as two apartment complexes. He is looking to expand his holdings both in single family homes and apartments. Jim was one of the founding members of INC and enjoys being a Co-Director with Katy.
Working with partners, Jim has partnered in deals as a Private Lender, funding several deals. Jim is now taking this Real Estate Investing one step further and is working with experienced partners as a Hard Money Loan Broker with LSG Funding. LSG Funding partners have experience with several Successful Hedge Funds, Contractors, Wholesalers and others. When banks say no to your loan application, Jim and the LSG Funding team will work to find funding for your projects.
Terry and his wife Lynda have been involved in some form of real estate for over twenty years, starting initially with a gut-rehab. In the mid-2000s, they moved into partnering with rehabbers on several projects, exclusively on the funding side. They now do limited hard-money lending, but invest primarily in real estate as holders of discounted mortgage notes. Their main focus for the last five years has been investing in notes on working-class properties in the upper Midwest.
Terry is a geologist by training. While working as a professional geologist in the 1970s and 80s, he specialized in due diligence on mid-sized to very large coal mines and mineral properties. Before becoming interested in real estate on a personal basis, he analyzed properties for purchase in practically every coal producing area in America, from the Appalachian Mountains to Alaska.
Cox serves as contributing editor and writes a regular column for "Scripophily," a publication of the International Bond and Share Society. He is also the author of four books: one on the history of Colorado gold mining and three on collectible stocks and bonds from North American railroads.

Laura is newer to the investment world but can't wait to become an expert. She bought her first single family home in Colorado in March 2018 where she did some house hacking and had her roommates pay most of her mortgage! In about six short months, she turned that house into a full rental and bought her second property right down the street. Laura wants to buy at least one rental a year for the next few years and also plans on doing her first fix and flip in 2020.
When she's not looking for her next investment project, Laura is a licensed Real Estate Agent in Colorado with Spaces Real Estate. She specifically loves working with investors because she is a numbers nerd. In her free time you can find Laura running, cooking, rock climbing, or poorly attempting headstands in yoga class.
